Learning to Play the Violin - Take Two Etudes and Call Me In the Morning

by Mark Landson, the Violin Space

If you are a student searching for answers of how to practice a certain piece, or how to master a certain technique, then this is the place on the Violin Space for you!

And teachers, if you have a special technique or excercize that will get the job done, contribute your knowledge! This section can never take the place of private lessons with a live teacher, of course. The thing about violin playing is that it is so personal and close to us that all of us need an outside expert view of our playing to be able to improve to a high level.

Studies and Etudes are a very important aspect of learning the violin. One of my goals for this section is to explain the techniques taught in all the major Etudes and Studies for the violin. Kreutzer, Wolfahrt, Dont, etc.
